The foundation for Brightwater, our second Mid-rise Residence, is underway and this building will soon “go vertical.” Several units with inspiring panoramic views are still available here, offering potential residents a tough decision between the Inn, the golf course, and/or shimmering Clearwater Harbor. The Sunset building, Mid-rise Residence number three, is slated to break ground in the first quarter of 2018. Belleview Inn Checking In With the Impressive Restoration of a Classic Jewel Careful renovations at the 120-year-old Belleview Inn continue to return historic elegance to this special place. This 35-room landmark’s original architectural style will be replicated with carpentry reconstruction and the addition of new materials. Waterproofing of the outside surfaces and roof will be completely dried in by early September. Windows, which will also be fashioned in similar style to the original poured glass, will be installed in early September as well. Perhaps most exciting, the famous Grand Staircase will be refinished, ensuring it remains a breathtaking and much-celebrated feature in the Inn’s rejuvenated lobby. Carriage Homes Moving Right Along so Residents Can Move Right In The foundation slab for the third and newest Carriage Home was poured last month and masonry walls are nearly completed. Floor trusses, exterior walls, and roof trusses will follow once mechanical, electrical HVAC and fire sprinklers are in. Drywall is now going up in the second building, which faces the fountain along Belleview Boulevard. The building which overlooks Belleview Boulevard and the Belleair Golf and Country Club is now under roof. Waterproof protective coating is in place, with roof tiling scheduled later in the construction process. Framing of interior walls is also underway. 16th Annual Safety Harbor Wine Festival Safety Harbor Nov. 4 In 1897, railroad tycoon Henry B. Plant erected the iconic Belleview Biltmore Hotel on a secluded bluff overlooking Clearwater Harbor. He envisioned a planned community which would be developed around the hotel site. Today, Belleview Place has reimagined Plant’s vision and is bringing it to life.
